I am a British contractor, married to a South African. I am coming to South Africa to build a house. I have my own architectural plan which I need to certify, pay for and permission to build the house as I have my own material. The house will be built using bricks, blocks with a simple roofing. As a contractor, everything will be done by myself and a few labourers. I would like your advice, collaboration and cost estimation regarding confirmation of my architectural plan and alternatively how much your own architectural plan would cost including that of council permissions. I would like to refresh the interior (first phase) and exterior (second phase) of my house. The interior refresh will include painting the bathroom tiles, painting the floor tiles (whole house) and fixing cracks and holes in current tiling. The kitchen cabinets, tiles and walls will also require painting. Finally the interior walls will require repainting. Hopefully this can be done before the holidays. The exterior refresh will include repainting the boundary walls and the house exterior walls including the garage doors. Palisade fence between neighbors will also need to be painted white.
