We're very pleased with our new aluminium windows. The team that installed them was experienced and well coordinated. Thank you, procompare, for your quick response and good quotes, we're looking forward to using your service again.
I was surprised by your quick response, and also how quickly I received quotes for new windows. The company that we chose didn't have any references on your website so it was a bit risky, but I'm very glad I found them. They completed the job like real pros, from start to finish. I rate them 5 stars and highly recommend to all future users!
My experience with your website and selected contractor was very positive. Windows were installed on time and without major complications. Keep up the good work.
The best windows for hot and humid climates are ones that are energy efficient. Models that are improperly sealed can cause heat and humidity to seep in, resulting in a rise in temperature inside your home, which will cause your air conditioner to work twice as hard to keep you cool. It can also create moisture issues that can lead to the growth of dangerous substances, such as mold. When selecting the right windows for hot humid climates, start by looking at the type of frame and glass you will use. Wood frames might cost a little more, but they are also very efficient.
Most popular materials for window frames are wook, aluminium and PVC. They all have their own upsides and downsides: wood is a great natural insulator, but it require more maintenance, aluminium is sturdy and durable but at the same time more expensive, and PVC are low maintenance and affordable, but it has the biggest environmental impact. When choosing your window frames, you should ask yourself what your priorities are and choose accordingly.
Triple-pane windows are more expensive and heavier, but they offer more thermal protection, and the added cost will likely be recouped in energy savings. You will certainly be more comfortable, and reduce the potential for moisture damage due to condensation on windows.
Window frames have become better insulated and more durable during the last years, air seals are better, and gas-filled cavities between double and even triple panes are the norm. As long as you choose good quality windows, all PVC, aluminium and wood windows are a good option.
Wood has been proved to be an effective barrier against sound waves. This means that both wooden frames (which absorb the sound) and composite frames that have a timber core have the most beneficial structure to reduce the noise.
40 years ago we built a new office block but using wooden bay windows from an old Parktown mining magnate's house which was being demolished. At the time we restored the wood and repaired all the lead glass windows, however, over the years, the treatment we have been using has obviously not been any good and they are now in desperate need of repair or replacement. Please call me to discuss the problem and give us idea on the practicality of repairing or replacing these windows and possible costs. This involves a bay window frame, 8 windows and 8 fanlights. Thank you
I have a degrees sea view on my patio and I do not want to block the ocean views at all. I would therefore like folding windows in the front of the patio and sliding windows on the side. I am not sure exactly how many windows I will need as I am not sure about the sizes of the windows - I would need someone to advise me on that.
We need emergency services. We have a two story home and a window on the 2nd story has completely blown out. It is supposed to rain today and we need to get this boarded up on the outside and inside of the frame and replaced before it rains. The window is located in the front of the house so if it rains, it will be pouring into the house. This is an emergency!!
Good day, I need an urgent quote on a wooden window frame to be replaced as soon as possible. Window frame size w,5cm; hcm See pics attached I would like to replace and install the windows ( 2 ) with frames Will you please forward a quote ASAP Also confirm that you can do the installations? Thanks
Please email me so that I can keep track of any communication. We can then take it from there. All of our windows are currently wooden. We are looking to replace all the windows with aluminium ones. I am not sure how many windows we will need but just on the front face of the house we already have 8.
Images attached: 1. 1x sitting room window. 2. 1x kitchen window. 3. 1x NEW window to be installed in order to enclose the open balcony. 4. 1x bathroom window (no image). 5. 1x entrance window / matches bathroom (no image). Note: the bathroom and entrance windows is the same (in terms of design and configuration) as the kitchen, except instead of three glass/window-panels there is only 2x per unit. Double glazing would be ideal for blocking out loud noise and for insulation as my apartment sits on the fourth floor close to the freeway and Harbour in Durban.

I am looking for a quote for sliding windows. Width 4. Height 1.3 It's a 4 meter open space on the patio from a braai area to a wall. My suggestion is it can be one meter on either side of solid glass then the open space in the middle can have the sliding windows. We have an ocean view and do not want anything that takes away from that.
