Since garage doors are quite a big investment, I did a lot of research on my own. But the best offer for wooden garage doors, which I chose in the end, was the one I got through Procompare. Their company was professional, the installation was quick and of good quality. I also really love that the doors are very quiet when opening and closing.
In my opinion, the company I chose through your service has an admirably professional approach. Mr Nel and his team were also friendly and helpful, always ready to reassure me and give me good advice. The whole service was 5/5 and I’ll definitely be using Procompare in the future as well!
We’re very happy with our new wooden garage doors. I hope they’ll serve us well for a long time. Thank you and a big thanks to the installers.
Insulated garage doors have many advantages: they save energy, they are more durable, quieter and they protect your car and belongings better. It is especially advisable to get insulated garage doors if your garage is attached to your house.
First, measure the width of the opening at the widest point. Next, measure the height of the opening at the highest point. Then, you need to measure the width of the areas beside the openings, the area between the top of the door opening and the ceiling and finally, measure the distance from the opening to the rear of the garage or nearest obstruction. You should also note if there are any lights, pipes, ductwork or anything else in the way.
We suggest you do a visual inspection of your garage doors regularly - see if everything is in place and works as it should. If there are any loose hardware, tighten them. Every six months, apply a small amount of spray lubricant to the door’s hinges, rollers and tracks. If you have a wooden door, you should apply wood oil to your garage doors once a year.
The moisture and humidity in the summertime can be a problem for your wooden garage door. They can cause warping and deterioration of wood. To avoid this, consider applying a protective topcoat during the summer to give your garage door better protection.
Wooden garage doors can last 15 years or more. Their durability will depend on how well you will take care of them.
I have a wooden automatic garage door and the tenant informs me that he experienced problems with the door. I, therefore, want a specialist in automatic wooden garage doors to inspect the motor and mechanism of the door and give me a written report of their findings and their professional recommendations on how to solve the problem. I suspect the maintenance is not up to date. Regards
I have a wooden garage door and it has a motor but currently it is removed and we are lifting the door by hand and it is very heavy and dangerous. The wheels along the side are also not in good condition. I was hoping for someone to come see it in person for free and we will gladly pay for it to get fixed.
Good Day We already have an automated garage door. The problem is that the rubbers on the sides of the door is warned out. Please advise whether the door can have the rubbers replaced or should I need a new garage door fitted. If so please be so kind as to give me a quotation for whichever. Hoping to hear from you soon. Thanking you
Good day, I would like to to have the bottom panel of my garage door replaced as it has become damaged over the years. The top two panels are still fine. I also need 3 x new remote controls for my garage door. I got them when I had the doors installed originally, so they are many years old. See attached. Thank you, René.
1/ Looking for a new (or reconditioned) single Tip Up steel garage door. Price supply only (The current one i have, the corrugated front is badly rusted although the actual working frame is not to bad.) 2/Also need replacement wheels x 2 for single tip up garage door I would like the door to be steel or Fribre glass.
I live in a complex where the color code is green for g/doors. I had the original two single doors removed as I had to heighten them to accommodate my bakkie, which has a heightened suspension and removed the center column. At the same time, I had a through door put in which needs a door. It, too, is higher than standard.sizes. Are you able to accommodate me. PS I would prefer the main door to be sectional if that is possible of arrangement.
Hi, I just need a basic amount so I can do my budget. The building was a garage but was converted into a studio with a door and windows and I would like to make it a garage again. It can be a double door or two single doors with automation (I have a device that must be added so it can work with my home assistant). So the door and windows need to be removed and the garage door(s) must be installed. There is power available for automation.
I have a, currently installed, fixed Single door which is motorised although the motor has packed up. I have been wanting to get a quote to replace it all with an automated roller / roll-up Door instead. "the Pro" can discuss options with me - There may be a good reason to stick with the current door. I'm open to suggestions.
Good Day I am looking for a supplier or quotation on a double garage Aluminium door with automation. I would prefer a sectioned door that opens up and over the car apposed to a tip up door please advise on colors and if there is a wood grain finish available on aluminium doors we look forward to your reply. Many thanks and best regards. .
Hi, I’d like to get quotes to automate an existing roll-up garage door in Jeffreys Bay. It is a single (not double) garage. There is a possibility that the door itself will need to be replaced so can you also provide a separate price to replace the door as this cost will be paid by the property’s owner.
