Silverplace Spar and Tops – Only Retail - Pretoria. Please see below the expectations we request from the Security company. Rules: • Security must be on site before shop opens in order to open with the managers. The Security will be on site opening and closing times. • All staff to be searched when entering and exiting the shop. • Staff must declare all their belongings when entering the shop. • Cell phones must be handed in and must be locked in the Cash office. Only managers allowed with cell phones. • Staff must be searched when going to bathroom. • Random searching must be done during the day. Lockers and staff. • Money must be taken from staff members and noted how much they handed in to keep record of same. Locked in the Cash office. • Trolley counts to be done morning and evenings. • No bags allowed – Customer, Staff and Security. • Expired stock to be checked every day. If found to be scanned. Slips must be kept for Mr Chris. He will collect when he visits store. • Drink outs to be checked every day when patrolling the floor • The guard at receiving must inform us on the group when deliveries gets done. Must flatten boxes, search all bags going out. • When receiving are closed, the guard must patrol in the back areas and departments. Random searching for drink outs etc. • Outside merchandisers must also be searched in and out of stores. They must be posted on group with their name and company. Only allowed in when Mr Chris gives the go ahead. • When stock get transferred from one shop to another, a security guard must escort them. • Centre security must be alert at ATM’s. Guard scamming etc. • Centre guard to patrol and keep an eye on generators, batteries etc. • No drunks allowed on site or in any shop. • They need to communicate with car guards in case of emergency with customers and their cars. • Security company to take over car guards. • Centre security must make sure that no beggars / druggies in or around the Centre as well as in the stores. • They must go to each tenant on a hourly basis and confirm that all is in order. • If the guard see that a tenant is doing something in the Centre like putting up stands / table / braaing outside their shop. We need to be informed to give the go ahead or not. • If they see any tenant moving, they must report same on group and confirm that all is in order. If this happen without informing us, the loss will be the security cost. • Polygraphs must be done every 30 days on each guard. Results must be attached on invoice. • Invoicing to be done on weekly basis. Cash payment will be received. • Penalties will be given when a security arrives late. Polygraphs failed and if caught not doing their work. • Only instruction can be given to security from Mr Chris or Dezi. If a manager is requesting something. We need to be contacted to get the go ahead. • Centre security must report if any maintenance / plumbing / toilets issues in order for us to get it sorted. • All security must have a checklist with the above. This must be posted on the group. • Guards must report on and off duty with the names and surnames on the group in order for us to get to know them. • We do not sign any contracts. If we are not happy with the service at a site, we are allowed to give notice with immediate effect if necessary.
I would like to remove a 4m long wall separating the kitchen and dining room area to create a more open plan house. I suspect I will need to put some sort of supporting beam at the top to support the roof structure. I live in a semi-detached house in the woosdtock area, the house is >60 years old and has high ceilings. I don't know where I would need to start to get approval for the change and plans to ensure I don't break anything. This is where I would like the most help.
