Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.

Unsure if what materials we want to build with. Between brick, container or wood.

I already have a house plan that needs to be upgraded.
I am planning on adding a room and a bathroom. We also want to make the existing rooms bigger and extending the kitchen and living room.
I have been defrauded by about 2 "architects" previously and I would like to be connected with companies closer to me so that we can have meetings and I can see them face to face. The previous guys did some work but never submitted anything to council, I need someone to draw plans for me and also see the process through this time in terms of submitting to town council.
