Do I need an architect if I want to build a house in South Africa?
A professional that is registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession must submit the building plans before extending, renovating or building a home.
My wife and I bought a new house and need assistance furnishing and styling the new living room / lounge space. We would like to purchase new furniture, so you wouldn’t need to incorporate anything we own currently. Attached are the pics of the current owners setup, so that you can get an idea of the space.

Double story bachelor rooms
This is basically a big hall/barn style house and all rooms inside will be dry walling. It will be a rectangular structure with folding doors in the front and an outside door in the back with a double garage attached. The walls should be 3 meters high as the main bedroom will be on a deck over the back side/kitchen area of the house. The two bathrooms will be above each other, with 5 windows at the bottom equally spaced to allow for 5 of 4 meter rooms whick includes the bathroom. There will not be a conventional ceiling in the house only boards in between the roof structures. But I need advice for the rooms. The kitchen and bottom bathroom will be beneath the deck which will act as a ceiling.
I am looking to add minor work to my house plan as well extensions that requires coct approval. Minor work Boundary brick wall 3M height x wide Carport to be converted into a garage – front and back garage door to be added and close up the sides of the carport with brick and and the rest clear sheets for light to come in converted into a garage. Swimming pool 6x4m Firepit and brick benches L-Shape Outside toilet Extensions: Stoop and lounge area front of house 1M forward. Extensions to the back making the main bedroom bigger adding an en-suite and interleading room for one of my kids currently sharing the room. Lounge window converted into a sliding door.

I need plan of my old house to be through and also the new extensions I want to add to my house told me Cape Town told me they can’t found my old plan on the system right it needs to be thrown again that I can’t found my house so I I must throw the plane of the resistant house over a guy What is your old house I couldn’t get hold of my plane
