7 things to consider when building a carport
Before building a carport, you need to know what you want and what you can afford.
I live in a small complex in Boksburg, Gauteng next to East Rand Mall. Have a standard one car shadenet on existing solid steel structure, but the shadecloth has torn, and need to be replaced with a new shadecloth. Size = 2,8m x 4,2m Steel structure may also need to be repainted, but tensioning steel-cables are still good. Need indicative quotes please.
I would like to find out what it would cost more or less if i should put up a netting shade-port at my home, there are four cars. I live in a complex and will be doing the shade port with my neighbor so we would like use the wall on ONE side with brackets & only have "front" poles for the Shadeport. The distance from the one wall to the other is just over 11m. I attached photos for you to see.

The canopy structure for walkways shall be designed to include portal frames, purlins, and metal sheet and supported on a reinforced concrete pad footings. All steel works shall be bolted or welded. Structural members of the covered walkway shall be adequately braced and connected to prevent displacement or distortion of the frame work. The canopy roof shall have adequate slope/bents to allow rain water discharge. Allow for rainwater downpipes. Will be slightly narrower than a double size and must be high and strong enough (with bars in place) for me to hang 2 kayaks (28kg each) between the the car port and the roof of the car. Hi, I am renovating my house and require a quote, please. What I'm looking for is a cantilever shadeport (shadenet) outside my double garage. Basically the one that is mounted on two poles up against the garage wall. I am also cool to have the top of the poles attached to the wall for added stability.
