I want to break out a wall that's underneath my staircase. The wall is load bearing and I thought I could put a steel beam in it's place as support. I also want to enlarge and already existing square arch but I am not sure how much of the wall I can take off. Then I also want to enlarge my the opening that my sliding is in. I want to enlarge it horizontally (not vertically) - again I am not sure how much of the wall I can take off

I want a 15 house room. 1 big living room/ lounge. 1 big kitchen and 3 inside toilets. At least about 5 normal bedrooms but with an extra 6th the big (Main bedroom) which is mine. Extending passage wall out by app. m. ( That will go into bathroom, study, and kitchen space which are next to each other in the passage. We will then have to in turn. extend the outer walls of these rooms by a meter or so to restore size. On the opposite side of the passage are 3 bedrooms. I would also like to extend the outer wall of these bedrooms outward by a meter to extend the bedrooms. These bedrooms’ outer wall is about 3,5 meters long each.
I previously utilised a different architect to draw up and submit the plans and I've already paid scrutiny fees, but this architect is very unprofessional and unreliable as I always have to run after him and he never respond and he has no answer. I need assistance to follow and notify me the progress of the plans at the council
It is an upstairs addition. I need to know the condition of the foundation and if it will be able to handle another level. And I need to know all the costs involved. We are purchasing a property that is residential but forms part of a mixed used building (there are stores down stairs).
