How to get building plan approval in South Africa?
What you have to do to get the permit and where to start.
I am wanting to convert a garage into two rooms with ensuite bathrooms. We anticipate having to do the following: 1. brick up the garage doors and insert two doors into the side wall of the garage 2. Divide the rooms with dry walking from floor to roof 3. Each bathroom will have a shower, toilet and basin 4. Insert a window into a side wall Note 1 the garage has a thatch roof so dry walking has to go all the way to the apex Note 2 the existing side door will remain although it currently is on the side wall not the back wall as shown in the image. Note 3 the plumping runs down the side of the garage Note 4 there is electrics and water existing in the garage Note 5 the property is in Komatipoort although I live in centurion
Double story with 3 bedrooms , main bedroom with en suite as well as a walk in closest , one bathroom upstairs . A single garage. Downstairs kitchen dinning room lounge . Upstairs I want 2 bedrooms and a lounge( I want to have a exit to the balcony that will be on top of the garage ) as well as a small study . One of the bedrooms upstairs I want to have a en suite with a shower as well.
I have attached a house plan of what I would like. I would like to have 3 bedrooms upstairs and open plan lounge and dining room with a kitchen and fire place. . Wooden beams to make up the see attached picture

Looking at updating my current house plans. I had extended the house but did not update the plans.
I am looking to remodel my entire house. I would like to change the rooms inside to have an ensuite, I want to change the kitchen to a different space and divide the rooms to be a granny flat. The granny flat is going to be attached to the house it's not going to be a separate building, I would also like a workshop but please advise on which area inside my house I can plan to have it.
Looking to extend my house in Goodwood and knocking down internal walls to improve layout. Also require boundary wall and paving to be constructed. Currently have a 3 bedroom house, there's a lot of open space in the yard and the garage is separate. I would like to add a carport and add a top storey on top of the carport and turn the current rooms to make the kitchen bigger and lounge area. Nice and simple house without a lot of furniture. Greyish and beige furniture and paint with a little bit yellow and white here and there. One or two real plants and some artificial one's. The house must be just a worm family home and kids friendly. 4 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dinning room,study room, 2 bathroom.
