How to get building plan approval in South Africa?
What you have to do to get the permit and where to start.
Hi - I currently have a cottage which was a previously converted garage that was already added onto. I want to now remodel this. It is along side another small bedroom (domestic quarter) which I want to breakthrough. The space will contain a small living room open planned with a bedroom and then the domestic quarters broken open to become a new bathroom. I would like this drawn up so I can get building / renovation costs.

Modern contemporary 4 bedroom house for family with kids. Property is on river bank overlooking estuary to South. Access road on Nortern side. Property slopes by 3m from road down to riverside. Cosy with entartainment space and maximum views of river. Double garage with storage space. Needs to comply with Admiral Island achitectural guidelines.
Interior remodel, removable on non load supporting walls to create open plan living. Extension to create more space, extend roof and or add awnings to create outdoor living space, add a pool, add a fire pit, add a deck, add a built in braai pizza oven/ outdoor kitchen and plan retaining walls. I require assistance in the planning, layout and drawings for the build project to be done in stages as and when finances are available.
I would like to build up turn the single story into a double story . 2 bedrooms kitchen lounge toilet .

This is a bit of a mixed request. We have a lot of space, but I am not sure how to keep it well organised. I have a 3 and 5 year old, so the house needs to be functional and safe, with no frills that I am unable to maintain. The kids spend most of their time indoors, as outside is not adequate for unsupervised play. We require set up of office space (for work from home), some organisation of my hobby & craft space, storage space and my kids' bedrooms. We also have a space which the previous owner used as a hair salon, which we are wanting to turn into a gym space (child friendly), however this section of the house will require some building work, as it is not properly waterproofed. There would also be some miscellaneous maintenance work required.
I need a plan for extension.. I would like to add one bedroom ,3 bedrooms I want to extend .
