I have an outstanding tax return for . All other years are up to date. In I was working for a bank. I have contacted them regarding an IRP5 for that year but the bank does not keep records longer than 5 years back. I do not know how to obtain the info required.

Hello. I have a pension fund in SA that matured a few years ago but it is a long time since I lived in South Africa so I no longer have a Tax Reference Number. It seems impossible for me to get my funds paid to me without a tax number and impossible to get one without travelling to South Africa. It's not a large sum of money and travelling to SA would probably use it all up. Is there any way you could help me obtain a tax number?
