They could've been better with their staff because we ended up having a small leak but they did come back and fix it.
They were always on site when they said they would be. Grass installation and wooden trellis installation was very good. Edging was done by one of their sub-contractors but was also good.
I found the contractor did not 'hear' me. There was tension on site as he arrived the same day as the building contracts - partly our fault, but I did ask him to start two weeks later prior to him arriving on site. Marx had tendered for the entire job but only got the landscaping part of the job and not the building part. I felt he should have advised us that he could only start, and perhaps even plan, his part of the job once the building was complete. I certainly don't feel that the has a good knowledge of plants. One of our beds 1m x 3m has been planted with 4 Christmas Rose bushes (initially 5) amongst other plants. Very disappointed in the flower aspect of the job. The extras that were done (or changes made) were simply invoiced (at crazy rates) and no discussion was held before hand. I have learnt a lot from this project. There are landscapers and then grass installers. Marx is definitely not a landscaper!

Request a quoteFor lawn edging, you can use stone, wood, metal, plastic, concrete, brick or even other unique materials. All of those are quality materials that will get the job done so we suggest you choose material that suits your garden and your aesthetics the most.
If the lawn edges are generally broken, ragged and uneven, you can use a sharp spade or, better still, a half-moon edging iron to re-cut them to shape. To ensure good, straight lines, use a short plank of wood or similar as a cutting guide.
Improperly done lawn edging can cause serious issues. The wrong technique could cause drainage problems, drowning the roots of bedding plants and trees and creating muddy, unattractive areas in the landscape.
just want a good cleanup and it must be garden area less than 50sm. I also want clearing/weeds growing between paving, there must be no lawns but small area outside the pavement between fence and street where weeds grow. We rent our freestanding home with garden. It has not been watered and much in the garden has died. There are mature trees throwing lots of shade. The soil type is naturally clay, but the beds have been enriched previously. I only want hardy waterwise plants. The small lawn needs replacement (in shade a good deal of the day). The gravel parking areas alongside the drive need weed killing. An overgrown ornamental vine trellis needs a strong prune. And beyond that, some general flower bed neatening.
Lawn to be cut once a week
I have a courtyard area around my pool that I want someone to come check and let me know what is possible and what would look nice as the area is quite narrow. I already have a pretty good idea of what I am looking for. I am quite interested in vertical gardening and need someone to advise.
