7 things to consider when building a carport
Before building a carport, you need to know what you want and what you can afford.
We are looking to have a 6x6 carport installed. Loose standing. We are unsure of the type but it seems the shade nets are popular in mosselbay and not sure why so a recommendation could be provided. Obviously cost would be an issue and also time to install. Also do we need building plans approved>?
We are a mixed use complex and need - 1. building of boundary walls/planter boxes; 2. waterproofing of the basement roof; 3. large security gate and french door repair; & 4. wooden decks repairs. e) Specifications for Verandas (i) ±1.80m wide x 12.00m long (ii) 0.47mm Colorbond amor gray corrugated roof sheeting of single length, to minimum slope of 5 degrees, fixed to 50 x 76mm SA pine purlins max. 1.20m spacing, fixed with hurricane clips on both sides to 50 x mm SA pine rafters max 1.20mm spacing, fixed to 50 x mm bearer beam, that is fixed to container with 10mm stainless steel bolts, on 50 x mm bearer beam fixed with stainless steel bots on top of a mm diameter galvanized steel posts with purpose made bracket, spaced at least 3m apart, cast into minimum x x mm, 15 MPa concrete bases. (iii) All exposed timber surfaces to be painted with one coat wood primer and two coats white enamel paint
it ideally needs to shade the car and protect it , from sun rise to sunset . Shade cloth options only offer shade art certain times of the day , not mornings or afternoons . Ideally need you to perform a site visit to check site as various options are possible . This is quite urgent, please contact me asap to arrange site visit.

Something like a trapezoid. Hight 2,5m. Top width of 4m. Starting on the left side of this 4m width a 90 degree corner and go South for a length of 8,7m. To the right another width of 6,5m and back North to the other point of the 4m width a length of 5,3m. One attachment against a wall for the 90 degree corner and three poles at the remaining corners. It’s a carport type roof over a patio. Roof dimension is 6.5 m x 4.3 m, On the one 6.5m side it can be mounted on the wall and on the other side there are 3 brick/ concrete pillars of xmm . The frame to support the roof must be steel please. The covering must IBR sheeting, either galvanised or chromadek. Please quote on both types.

1.) Remove existing section of Aluminium Extruded gutter. (~3m) 2.) Remove existing rotten barge board/facia board (~ 40mm x mm x 3m) 3.) Replace (2 above) with new piece of barge board/facia board (~40mm x mm x 3m) 4.) Treat with Creosote 5.) Replace Aluminium Extruded gutter (~3m, removed in 1) with proper slope. End of job scope

The other side to be mounted on two poles. Three meter gutter and one run down pipe. The attached photo show a car parked where I want the carport to be erected.
