Dear Sir/Ma’am, I was hoping you could assist me. I have a house in a complex in Knysna and already have an 8kW invertor and 1 battery that has saved me through the Eskom two hour load shedding. I am now looking at installing solar panels and an additional battery. It would be great if you give me some more information on what solar panels I need as well as how many (my northern facing roof is about 25m2) panels I would require to charge the batteries. We are school which has over learners. Our electricity bill during winter is over R25 . We have photocopying machines and printers that are running everyday at our admin block. We want to start the installation at the admin block first before we can expand and put the whole school. The admin block must always function. It has: 1. What would the estimated full installation costs be for a stand-by PV system versus a single large generator for an old-age complex of say 80 homes (ranging from single to 3 bedrooms).
