7 things to consider when building a carport
Before building a carport, you need to know what you want and what you can afford.
Need space to house a caravan and a trailer (approx. 6 x 7m with a minimum height of 2.7m). I want the carport to double as a garage, i.e. closed sides and roll-up doors, and also a pedestrian entrance door. The area needs to be deforested, levelled and paved, you may include this in your quote or I could source an alternative provider for this.

New apartment in Atholl – work to be completed either tomorrow, Weds 24 or Thurs 25 Aug - Assemble Decofurn shelf (flat packed, instructions provided) - Mount tv unit on bracket in bedroom - Mount 3 x floating shelves on dining room wall (provided) - Cupboard railings to be put in 3 cupboards – in 2 of them to replace the existing shelves (Leroy Merlin has the railings metal with plastic ends – please advise if you are able to buy these or I should provide them) - Curtain rails to be put up in 2 bedrooms x 1 wall each, and one lounge wall (I will provide railings) - Check connection for dishwasher/washing machine - Regards
We have 24 carports (steel) and a shade net for 3 cars. We would like to fix the current carports (steel) with new steel and fix the shade net. The other option would be to completely change the steel carports to shade nets, so we would like 2 different quotes: 1. Fixing current carports 2. My bathroom wall has a hole for building plumbing/ maintenance, I would like to close this hole with a door or mechanism that can be opened as needed for plumbing maintenance. The main reason for closing is the odour from the plumbing shaft as well as insects which enter my unit through the shaft hole. The hole is +- 1,7m long and 50cm wide. I would ideally like wood with a waterproof sealant/paint. Please quote
Two carports. The first one is about 7.4m W x 6mL. One side (6mL) will be fixed against a wall and the other side on poles. No middle pole on the 7.4 m width side. Require a carport for two cars, one behind the other, down the side of the house. To protect cars from falling pine tree leaves and other leaves that get blown down 3m wide gap from the house wall to the side wall. I'm looking for a shaded carport for 2 vehicles with a possible second one (also 2 vehicles). The first will be located in front of a double garage and the second to be determined. The carport will be standalone unless otherwise advised. The current space available for the first is about the length of two VW polo (Hatch), not sure about the length meter-wise.
I need: 1. Carport for 2 cars +- 8*7 sq - IBR 2. Kitchen porch/cover +-7*1.3 sq - Chromadek 3. Front porch/cover +- 7*1.5 sq - IBR with Wendy House Wood ceiling 4. I will prefer not to use poles but rather use support pillars build with face brick which I have available. This will match the face brick of my house
Remove existing gutter and set aside for reuse. - Supply and install new 12x nutec fascia. - Reinstate gutter and align again. - Secure existing slipped fascia to both gable ends with nail-in anchors. In the front of the property and back. - Secure existing barge flashings with additional screws. - Check all existing roof screws torqued correctly.
