Currently there are a few banana palms etc which I would like to stay, but the rest requires clearing - some horrible roots (palm tree) and an oliander tree to be removed. The ground needs to be leveled in places. Then I would like the entire garden composted because our soil is very sandy. And then planted up with beds, no lawn, but rather ground cover. Is it possible to give me a quote for the design and labor alone? I can get a good price for the compost and plants as I have always bought them from Boschoff Nursery.

The front of the house is a double storey, the back is only one storey. I need another floor added to the single storey, with a double garage, bedroom, bathroom and entertainment room. As well as a kitchen and dining room at the bottom of the existing floor. The bottom floor would be around 11 x 9sqm and the top floor would be 6 x 9sqm.

Kitchen wall • Break through a section of the kitchen wall to create a 'sort of' half wall between the kitchen and living room, given the potential structural limitations of the wall. The aim is: To have light carry through from the kitchen to the lounge in the afternoon, and from the lounge to the kitchen in the morning. The apartment is quite dark. To create more of a connection between the kitchen and the living area, making it feel less isolated, but still separated. To ever so slightly increase the usable surface area in the kitchen. 5. Parquet floor sanding • Sand down the parquet floor and baseboards in the bedroom, lounge and entry-way.
