I live in an old Victorian house. It’s a grade IIB listed property. I’ll be doing heritage-approved renovations. I’m looking for a builder that understands the requirements for these old homes as all building work needs to be sympathetic to the materials used in these houses (ie, lime mortar and plaster). Portland cement cannot be used as part of this project. Airplast is a good project that should be used instead, so a builder with knowledge of this product or similar is essential.

Would also like a quote on opening up a load bearing wall about 4m x 2m, this used to be the outside wall so would also be a firewall if I am correct. the room behind that would need the floor raised and if possible the ceiling as well, else we will extend this to be the living room/tv wall
Whole roof underlay to be replaced with superior quality, temperature controlling material. Valley messed up by previous builder to be fixed. Considering to have parapets knocked off as they have always leaked, resulting in interior damage to steel door frames, etc. Patio to be changed into a room (roof, ceiling and aluminium sliding doors). Flat roof of braai room to be changed to a pitched tile roof like the rest of the house with sliding doors and windows(for better ventilation), overlooking the swimming-pool. 3 x Bathroom makeovers In the middle of the tandem double garage is the parapet wall which hosted the previous two steel roll-up doors. This complete wall must be removed, but then the trusses of the front garage will need support over a distance of about 7m. The complete garage needs a ceiling. The raw cement floor needs levelling and either epoxy coted, tiled or painted. There are a few minor jobs, e.g. removing rusty steel doorframes, cracks in walls and ceilings, damp problems, replacing a few windows and doors, erecting concrete platforms for water tanks, etc. Electrical changes and additions will of course be needed.
I need to have a new kitchen installed. The kitchen has been stripped bare so there is a blank canvas. I have already had the plumbing and electrical points done and I have decided where I want the different appliances to go. All I now need is for cabinets to be installed, a built in stove and hob installed, and a dish washer and washing machine installed.
I am looking for someone who can remodel the house. A new roof needs to be installed with tiles. Ceiling and tiling of the whole house. Removing the bath in the bathroom and making it a walk in shower. Plastering of the house outside and putting in face brick. The front of the house will be cladding stone. Leveling of the house to be even before tiling.
