
Good day I submitted my return which indicated a refund of approx R76 I then was told the pharmacy bills which i paid for was not sufficient as receipts and the statements did not suffice. I then submitted my bank statements showing i paid for these, along with medical statements and summary of all items paid. I then got a revised assessment reducing my original amount owed by R. I wish to discuss with an agent to understand why it was reduced when i have submitted all items. Can i engage the ageny who handled my audit as i wish to dispute this revised assessment

I do water treatment systems, I buy stock, pay for advertising on Facebook mostly I write invoices and I get slips when putting petrol and tolgates, I plan to sell my personal car to business on monthly payment, I need book keeping for my business and my taxes on time and right where I know where and to pay only taxes that's needed. I reside in Australia (but still have South African citizenship). I received an email from SARS saying I owe them R. I need to file for the most recent tax year but, for the first time, no assessment was available. I worked until April for Peace Parks Foundation, so have an IRP5 from them. I am now semi-retired, drawing a small retirement annuity, but also working to complete a PhD through the University of Ottawa at present (thus paying tax in Canada on my scholarship). My husband recently passed away and I will receive additional funds to either supplement my retirement annuity or my investments. My financial advisor suggested I secure the services of a tax advisor to assist with the filing and advise me regarding future investments / RAs.
I am a pensioner either an income of +/- R a month and pay myself bancrupt with income tax up to about R - R a year. I never have money for holiday or anything - all goes to taxes. I moved from Limpopo to Ballito and my accountant of many years seems to have lost interest in helping me. Please do I need help.
