We live in a VERY old house - almost years old. Our wooden floorboards have been almost completely destroyed by time, neglect, and wood borer. Previously, my mother was staying in the house and was advised that she'd need to sand the floorboards down to bare wood before exterminators could come and pour poison down but she only had a weekend to do it so all the remaining boards have been very poorly sanded with a hand-sander. We are asking for quotes to just do the kitchen for now as there is a big hole where the boards have snapped - but over time we hope to do the entire house when we can afford it.
Currently three separate rooms 1) small shower 2) small loo & basin. 3) loo + shower + basin & vanity. Required : knock down 2 walls, lift floor and wall tiles, cement/screed floors and walls, install one large wet room with 1 wall mounted loo, one large shower, one basin with vanity and one bathtub. I'd like exposed copper pipes throughout.
Bathroom walls need to be cleaned from mould/damp and then repainted. I have the colour codes for the paint at the hardware shop so matching colours is ok. The door frame to the bathroom also needs to be cleaned from mould/damp and repainted too. Bathroom size is cm x cm, and wall coverage that needs to be fixed is only cm high. Need a carport of dimensions avg .7m length x 3.7m - please see also sketch. The carport needs to be from galvanized steel and painted / powercoated to charcoal grey or alternatively from aluminium also in charcoal grey. We are an Old Age Home situated on the Old Main Road in Edendale. We accommodate 55 elderly and frail residents. We also have nursing, admin and kitchen staff. We require one guard at night from 18h00 to 06h00 every night. The service provider would enter into a contract with us on an annual basis, with the right to cancel the contract due to ineffectual service.
Buying a property and wanting to convert to an office with a large boardroom or hall and to possibly add a few rooms to use as a guesthouse or backpacker. At the moment it is just a msq stand with a building in one corner and a second building on the side, I need ideas on how best to explore and maximize the land and with the additions that we have in mind. I have been in Cape Town three times already in the past without having any issue or security fear, but I heard that in the last year criminal rate increased a lot. I won’t visit townships or cape flats zone, only touristic places, good hope cape, Hermanus, Boulders’s driving with rented car. Do you think I would need a private security or are those safe zones?
