We had our house renovated and the guys assigned to do our electrical work completed in August, they tried to install a light but opened the DB to draw a wire and problems started..Our earth leakage trips randomly..they tried to fix it but failed, now they had to bypass the earth leakage and even changed the prepaid meter so that we can temporarily have electricity. The previous prepaid meter was showing an overload even when eskom was off. The new meter constantly beeps and signs bypass. We have seen 2 electricians thus far.
Recently my EL on the main DB has been tripping. There is a grid typed inverter(installed 6-8 years ago) with neutral and earth internally bonded before this EL, that has it's own DB board with it's own EL downstream of the inverter. Problem varies in frequency but becoming more frequent. Main DB and EL runs the house. Stove. Geyser. Rooms etc.
Recently had a Mercer inverter installed. Can't understand why green light stops and goes on all the time. This is the 2nd set of batteries he got for me. He doesn't get back to me. I am on pension and have been badly let down and taken advantage of. I cannot afford to pay a large sum of money for a call out. I just need advice please. Deeply disappointed and depressed about the matter. This is not what i bargained for. Thank you.
An electrical installation is a group of items of electrical equipment that are permanently electrically connected together and can be supplied with electricity from the works of an electricity entity or from a generating source. An item of electrical equipment may be part of more than 1 electrical installation. Steps to Install electrical distribution board You must have to install the feeder pipe at first. If you're using metal pipe, place a plastic bushing over the connector threads. Using a tape, pull the electrical feeder wires through the feeder pipe. Leave enough wire to get to the opposite side of the panel.
I would like some residential work done. 1. Remove a current chandelier light fitting and replace with a light and fan fitting. 2. Remove a side light fitting - do want to use anymore 3. Check wiring of the above - current chandelier lights tripping 4. Replace one light with another light 5. Fix a faulty light, switches on but goes off after a while.
We require a new manual change over switch installed at/near the db board. New external water proof plug point installed on the outside wall for the standby generator.
