The short answer is that it is cheaper to buy an existing house in South Africa but every year less so.
I need to modernize the house. It is currently a 3 bedroom house. Would like to convert the front bedroom into a dining room, break down about 2walls to have a much more open spaced(lounge,dining room and kitchen) Also need 1 more bedroom to be build and the entire bathroom to be converted in something spectacular. also needs garage and boundary walls to be replaced. all windows will be replaced by aluminum windows together with front door.

Fire place need to be finish with litels, bathroom need new plumbing and to be retailed after plumbing is repaired. Kitchen tiles on wall. Hall way to be tiled. We want to do this if possible without having to replace the garage door, as she lives in a complex where all the garages need to look the same. Hello, we have a digidoor 3 motor that has blown in glenhills Durban North and we are looking for someone to replace the motor and chain. The door springs need to be tighted and the door needs to be serviced. The current setup is two rollup doors that are joined together by a bar that is hooked upto a digidoor motor. I would like to convert our garage into a room that doubles as a home office/gym. i.e. home office during the day, gym in the evening. The idea is to end up with one large room after the following has been done: 1. Seal off the garage door 2. Add a frosted window to the sealed garage door that opens (for fresh air) 3. Add 2 large windows and a door on the adjacent wall Outside the garage is a covered open parking which I would also like to convert to a closed parking as follows: 1. Add a large gate to make it a closed parking 2. Add metal bars on top of the adjacent durawall similar to the ones on the opposite wall
We need help renovating our home we are purchasing. Its a 3 bedroom townhouse in a complex. We anticipate geting most of the rooms carpeted, sitting room as well as the stairs. The bathrooms (2) also need a retouch, and in the balconies we would like to close off with clear glass slide doors, as well as maybe add in a small room/storage area on the ground level on the garden side.
In the process of purchasing a fixer- upper and would like an idea of remodelling costs. Looking at a 3 bedroom flat in need of a strip out of old carpentry and flooring, paint and fit out including new kitchen, bathroom, toilet, wardrobes and refurbish of flooring. We have a house at the Vaalriver in Orkney Klerskdorp. We have a toilet on the one side then we have a wall that use to be a build in cupboard and on the other side of the wall we have the basin and shower. We would like to brake the wall down to have a open plan bathroom. Then we need to purchase a new toilet, install a corner bath and upgrade the shower a little bit with a new shower door and new taps, it only has a shower curtain at the moment.
