I have been in Cape Town three times already in the past without having any issue or security fear, but I heard that in the last year criminal rate increased a lot. I won’t visit townships or cape flats zone, only touristic places, good hope cape, Hermanus, Boulders’s driving with rented car. Do you think I would need a private security or are those safe zones? We have a face brick home with tile roof. Looking to add a 36m2 garage, adjacent to the house. Nothing fancy required - no ceiling boards and not necessary to plaster inside of garage. Single garage door, and a normal back-door. As mentioned, the garage will be adjacent to the house, so the existing face brick wall will serve as firewall between house and garage.
