I am not too fussy about the steal used (it needs to be galvanised), but if a car bumps it it should hold. (it is in the garage, so will be a soft bump) It is just the frame, no mesh or cover is needed. I have probably over-engineered the design, so happy to listen if you have a better approach. I think 20mm square or angle tubing will be plenty strong.

Can I please get a quote on shaded carports for the following: 1) 4 x tripple parking spaces (Next to each other - 12 spaces total). 2) Another 3 x tripple parking spaces (Next to each other - 9 spaces total). 2) Another 1 x tripple + 1 x double parking spaces (Next to each other - 5 spaces total). 1) 1 x single parking spaces (one is for the shaded seating area). Dear Sir/Madam I want a steel sliding gate installed across the entrance to a covered stoep. The width of the gap is 5,2m, and the height 3m. In addition to being burglar proof, it needs to be baboon resistant (thus relatively small openings). It is a coastal environment, hence rust proofing is very important. At the moment I do not anticipate automating the gate. Could you please inform me whether you do such custom installations, what the approximate (ball park) cost would be, and what you would recommend to prevent rust of the gate and sliding mechanism?
