He was friendly, but the work wasn't up to standard.
We asked the contractor several times to check the prices before he quoted, because we have no lee-way when the contract is accepted. Once the project started, he kept requesting more money than his initial deposit for a range of reasons. Despite our understanding that only certain materials were to be used per our client's request, the contractor kept trying to use cheaper materials by saying he couldn't source the materials, he should have already sourced. Which wasted time and angered the client. We had to source the right materials for him. He assured us he was done with the work. Then we requested an addition to the drywall. When we received photos of the finished product, the finishing work was appalling. More photos were submitted with work that wasn't complete. The client was furious. We asked that the work should be corrected so we could do the final payment. The contractor was warned that if the fixes were not done by the next day as agreed, the final payment would not be forthcoming. The next morning, the client went to inspect the work, and nothing had been done. But the contractor assured us that the job had been done. The client threatened to sue us, and refused to have the contractor continue. We had to get in a new contractor to finish the work. The original contractor said it would take an hour, but the new contractor had to work through the night to make the deadline. The original contract was fully paid, the balance of the work on the second contract that was not done (but he said was done) and still had to be done between the two projects (which he also said was done) was much more than the amount the original contractor was not paid. And a working fluorescent light that was moved incorrectly, no longer worked and had to be totally refurbished.
Good day, the conversation we have on fone was good but I don't like what they wrote because I wasn't prepared what I'm gonna get there and they can't give me any clue what's will happen there and I have to sleep over with out blankets and nothing on cement floor and they deduct the money I asked for food for my people all they want is the work much be done on time and we can have a proper rest during the nights, there was no time to change my quotation because they even don't know where the place was they give me a wrong directions and the materials wasn't the price what's on my quotation and some of the materials wasn't in that areas I have to go further to cape town to by stuff and ask more money for that, they also tried to get material but it takes days and my time was running out, I told them I can't make noice during the day only in the evening and we can work through the night we have to sleep and our body can't go through with that to sleep on cement floor every night but for them was it nothing my job was fine and I take pictures and they like it and I was almost finished with the job I ask for one hour to finish they don't allow me and we tried our best and now they take the money away from me and I also want to send pictures

Good Day, I would like to change the layout of my Bathroom- Move basin and shower. Re-tiling of bathroom and Toilet (they are separate.) Move Front door from existing place and incorporate stoep with Main bedroom. Building cupboards to be built in 3 bedrooms. I would also like house to be re-painted inside and out.
I would like a quote on waterproofing my roof external and paint it, as well as painting the house all around the exterior, I also need waterproofing for winter inside where water tends to run down from the gutters side. It gets worst in winter so before the weather gets worst I would like to have the house painted.
I’m looking to fix my property due to the damages that were caused by a tenant. Here is the list of areas that need painting: 1. The ceiling needs painting approximately 5x12 meters 2. The bedroom wall that the tenant painted with a different shade. It measures about 3x5 meters. 3. This wall needs to be fixed and painted. It measures about 3x0.5 meters. 4. The wall on the left needs to be repainted it measures about 3x7 metres. 5. The whole bathroom needs painting and the dimensions are approximately 5x1.5 meters around 3 walls and the other wall would be a 5x0.5. 6. The area around the switch needs to be fixed and painted.
