We're purchasing a home in Westdene and a general home inspection revealed some defects in the roof. We'd like a specialist to inspect and advise on the extent of the defect (how critical it is), give options on fixes and estimate the cost of fixing it. This is quite urgent (we need this done by Wednesday next week).
Good day I would like to request a handyman for the following work please: 1. Old apartment in Saxonwold – work to be completed any time from Weds 25, to Mon 29, Aug - Replace old Yale lock - Fill in 2 x small holes in bedroom wall made by headboards (hanging in 2 rooms, removed) and tv unit that was placed on a bracket against the wall (4 small holes) - Paint if necessary 2. New apartment in Atholl – work to be completed either tomorrow, Weds 24 or Thurs 25 Aug - Assemble Decofurn shelf (flat packed, instructions provided) - Mount tv unit on bracket in bedroom - Mount 3 x floating shelves on dining room wall (provided) - Cupboard railings to be put in 3 cupboards – in 2 of them to replace the existing shelves (Leroy Merlin has the railings metal with plastic ends – please advise if you are able to buy these or I should provide them) - Curtain rails to be put up in 2 bedrooms x 1 wall each, and one lounge wall (I will provide railings) - Check connection for dishwasher/washing machine - Regards
Hello I've got the metal roof that still needs to be redone and I'm not sure what type of roof is inside the house it's a normal roof white but I think water somehow went into the roof now it's just sitting there and causing my lights not to work and there's a leak next to the light bulb holder. I just need a quotation to see more or less how much it would cost to repair it.
My bathroom wall has a hole for building plumbing/ maintenance, I would like to close this hole with a door or mechanism that can be opened as needed for plumbing maintenance. The main reason for closing is the odour from the plumbing shaft as well as insects which enter my unit through the shaft hole. The hole is +- 1,7m long and 50cm wide. I would ideally like wood with a waterproof sealant/paint. Please quote
After 1-2 days of continuous rainfall in our area water has somehow penetrated one section of our tiled pitched roof on the eastern side of our house and dammed up in a pool about 1 square meter wide on the inside of the lounge ceiling below from where it has saturated the surrounding ceiling board and dripped through nail holes into the lounge.
Hydrowash/ Grind (where appropriate) apply waterproofing slurry skim /Acrylic waterproof patching as appropriate Check and re-paint any open fillet joints with a waterproofed mortar Remove and patch any peeling paint Remove any unsuitable fillers /damaged plasterwork and repair with waterproof mortar slurry matching plaster texture. Repair plaster cracks & structural cracks Hairline cracks to 0.2mm apply 1 coat HIP Primer and fill with parapet water proofing Cracks to 2mm rake out crack line and treat as above Cracks above 2mm chop out and repair with suitable mortar mix Where necessary float a damp proof bonding slurry to repair and level damaged plaster Structural cracks chop out to full depth and repair with suitable mortar mix Where necessary express an expansion joint into structural crack repairs Waterproof and seal all expansion joints and any plaster lip joints Waterproof and seal all parapets and horizontal reveals with Waterproofing Crack repairs and waterproofing where required on all other vertical and horizontal surfaces. I am requiring 4 outside doors, internal we already have. Quote for aluminum doors and windows, and wooden doors and windows. I will give the sizes when I receive the list of suppliers. I would like a quote on 2.1 sliding patio door by 2.1 in bronze. I would like the suppliers to make contact with me.
Remove existing gutter and set aside for reuse. - Supply and install new 12x nutec fascia. - Reinstate gutter and align again. - Secure existing slipped fascia to both gable ends with nail-in anchors. In the front of the property and back. - Secure existing barge flashings with additional screws. - Check all existing roof screws torqued correctly.
2 toilets are running. I have to turn the water off to stop it running. 1 toilet is dripping at the pipe heading into the loo. The top element in the oven isn't working.
