Carports vs. Garages: Pros and Cons
Which is better, a carport or a garage?
Two bedroom, kitchen, sitting room and one toilet. Would like to add a dinning room. Nothing has been done since the early '80 when it was built. The plan is to flip the house and renovat it and add a room. Considering that it is a old structure, would like change the roofing, timber, and ceiling. Plastering, tiling, electricity and plumbing.

25m2 Shutterply floor to be covered by roof and ceiling and then allround glass stacking doors to follow. Once completed, let's cover the shutterply with a beautiful cost effective vinyl. Looking to purchase the vinyl and install myself, alternatively could be installed by supplier if the price is right.
- Remove existing wadrobes (2.5 x 0.56 m) & install them in the outside room - Remove bath (1.94 x 1.21 m) - Build wall separating bathroom (remaining shower, toilet & basin) from the closet (see below) - remove part of window & brick it - Install walk in closet where the bath is & mirror entry door - may need to remodel the rest of the bathroom Will need plan to agree on the design before we start.
Upgrade of bathroom: remove existing tiles on floors and walls; Install new mid-range tiles; convert large shower into a bath/shower combo with clear partition and recessed shelf; upgrade existing double vanity with new countertop, sinks, and hardware; remove bidet but keep existing toilet; paint section of walls where not retiled; (Not sure if plans are required?)
I wish to become a good communicator by working with other people, creating a good team,making sure everything is going accordingly and I don't wanna make mistakes when I'm working with others. Important notes: 1. Property to be built on a private nature reserve. 2. Erf is zoned as rural. 3. There is no electricity, so it will require a generator if need be. 4. NO TRUCKS can reach the stands. The roads allow for bakkies, possibly with a trailer. 3 Tonne truck should also be fine. 5. Builders are not allowed to stay on the stand overnight. There is accommodation available at the farm gate (about 10km or so from the stand).

It is a room below the main house that is used for storage, we want to change it into a bedroom with a bathroom (including shower and toilet) We need it to have the same finishes as the main house. The only difficulty will be getting the plumbing for a toilet in there as it may need to be pumped upwards into the main sewage line.
