7 things to consider when building a carport
Before building a carport, you need to know what you want and what you can afford.
Good morning Please would you quote me for building the carport attached. I've attached the following: 1. Picture of my house where the carport will be 2. My neighbour's carport (my carport should also be similar) 3. Drawings by architect (6m x 6m are the dimensions), they have been approved by municipality finally 4. The picture of an example where the 4th pillar needs to be slightly in (this will also be necessary in my carport, for easy exit out of the garage).
The roof leaks when it's raining but the exact points of leaks are uncertain since half of the house has an installed ceiling. The main objective is to find the exact leaking points and repair them and recommend any improvements on the roof. The plan area of the roof is approximately square metres. The style of roof is scotch. The location of the house is in Boschfontein, Nkomazi Local Municipality.
I have a double door garage and interested in a simple but smart carport with open sides and my house have no gutters I want the water from the roof to fall on the carport then to the garden in other words the carport should slant a bit to the garden which will be on the left from main gate.I had a net scotch type of a port but now have put some corrugated irons on the scotch shape but not happy with it at all.Want to give it a nice flat design
The roof needs to be checked on the main house, the tiles are very old and may need to be replaced , also the flat roof needs to be redone as the tiles are old and broken, also the roof trusses needs to be checked for damage and repaired/replaced if needed, also the garage roof needs to be repaired(metal sheeting)
Our holiday home at 9 Sydney St, Plettenberg Bay, has an old roof with fibre cement roof sheeting. This is old and breaking up with new cracks and leaks appearing from time to time. We need advice on the options and prices to replace the roof. I would like to build a temple.. basically new structure needs to go up. An old building needs to be demolished and then reset the foundation and put up new walling or pillars/polling. Then ofcourse a roof. I was thinking thatch. Although, out last roof was thatch and it got burnt. Also, I need to know the difference in costs with different roofing structure and pros and cons over time... Im overseeing this and doing some research, please get back to me asap. I want to give my deck area a shade net carport. I have approved plans for the shadeport but the other materials are too expensive. Extending carport and also fixing veranda with carport material which is leaking badly. Please separate quote for leakage and extension one. It could be 1 as an extension and one stand alone, as we have already the bigger size of 2. Please indicate if you can be able also to fix the veranda that is made of carport material.
I need to cover the drying yard of the property the yard is approx. 6m x 3m. Though I have specified a hard cover would consider shade netting. The only purpose of this cover is to keep the yard dry from the rain and would request your advice. The structure should be robust to withstand monkeys walking on it.
