I looked at lots of door providers online and got a couple of quotes. In the end, I submitted a form on Procompare to see what offers I would get and decided to go with one of the contractors that called me. I don't know how they do it, but this company has all of the factors (delivery, installation, great price, customer service and efficiency) that make doing business with them a pleasure. And my new aluminium doors look great!
I rarely write reviews but I want to give high compliments to Procompare and the door contractor that contacted me through them. What a smooth, fast, easy, and VERY reasonably priced transaction! Will definitely be using your services again in the future.
I was very impressed with the Procompare service. Several providers called me within hours after submitting my online form and the one I opted for advised me on the type of aluminium doors that would be best to use in my flat, then gave me a very reasonable price. The installers did a fantastic job within the set deadline. Very professional team and excellent work done. Keep it up, guys!
Yes. With newer doors and windows you will get better insulation of your house and therefore you won’t need to spend as much to heat/cool your house. Just how much money you will save depends on the state of your doors/windows and and on the doors/windows you will replace them with.
You should replace your front door if there are drafts and cold air entering the home under and around the doors, if they don’t properly open and close, if they are damaged in any way or if they are old. If your main entry door is 20-25 years of age it is time for a replacement.
When you make an appointment for someone to come change your doors, someone should be at home to talk about the specifics. You should clear out the immediate environment to make solace for the workers to do their job. Moreover, make sure that the workers will have a clear path from driveway to the house. Turn off any alarm systems and secure any pets.
Each of the three most popular door materials have their advantages and disadvantages. Aluminium doors, for example, are very energy sufficient, secure, durable and aesthetically pleasing, but more expensive. PVC doors are cheaper and very variable, but can get damaged easier in higher temperatures. Wooden doors, on the other hand, offer a homey feeling and are a great natural insulator. All of the materials, however, especially if good quality, can be a secure and energy efficient option for your home, so it will come down to your personal preferences.
The front door to my property is rotting and I need to replace it. The property is part of a sectional title so it need to be compliant with all the other doors in the complex. I have attached a picture of one of the other aluminium doors in the complex. It would be to fit and install a standard size front door. Measurements can be provided or you are more than welcome to go and measure the door. Looking forward to hearing from you. Regards,
1.We have existing wood back door with window panel. 2. We have a 2 door with small glass panels. 3. Bedroom window to convert to sliding door. And window panel on 1 of 2 sides. Want to replace all with aluminium or upvc. It also needs to have a mesh door to keep flies, mozzies, cockroaches oout. I would like a golden bronzy colour. Or white. And it must have a guarentee and not be easy to break into. I believe this is a weakness of aluminium doors and windows. And all 3 must have a trellidoor or equivalent in same colour with a rust free guarentee.
1. We request the Roma style for all the doors, but that they are SOLID core MDF (or alternative), 2. We request raw and unpainted finished product, 3. Please remove D28 and D30 from the quoting process, 4. The following doors are external: D1, D29 5. Do you supply door hinges for these solid doors? If so, could you send me the specifications please. I look forward to hearing from you.
A sliding door will be installed after the veranda. When the door is installed, the step needs to be adjusted by a builder and the plastering around the frame has been completed. In fact, the veranda needs to be re-done. Note: This is a very small job it does not need building contractors. Please feel free to contact me for more info.
Replacement for hinged old double wooden doors with cottage pane windows. cm high wide and about 20 cm depth of the wall. Considering aluminium replacement. Prefer NOT just full plain glass from a security perspective BUT will consider it as an option, please. What hinged options do you have? Not a supporter of sliding doors from a security perspective alone. Security of the door is key, the nature of the door itself, the security of locking, etc. House has a lot of wooden cottage panes! Therefore bronze aluminium is preferred. Doors must be able to be fixed when in open position. Steve 5 Bosveld Close Boskruin Randburg JHB
I am requiring 4 outside doors, internal we already have. Quote for aluminum doors and windows, and wooden doors and windows. I will give the sizes when I receive the list of suppliers. I am in need for someone to supply and install 2 external wooden doors. They must be experienced in this. one door opens outward and will need a strip down the length of the door that covers the opening to prevent the door from being forced open from the outside. Door frame size is cm x 81cm Other door opens inward to the loft room and is shorter than standard. frame size cm x 81cm Both doors have good hinges but need decent handles and secure outdoor locks. Good quality wooden external door but not decorative
Need a double door opening to outside. Currently there is a wood and glass door and frame in the position, would like it replaces with aluminium and glass doors and frame. Measurement from where concrete wall meets wooden frame is cm high cm wide. See attached photo. I prefer being contacted via email or Whatsapp
Good day. Can I kindly request a quote. I want to close my patio with either sliding doors or stackable doors depending on affordability. Main door = 6m wide X 2.5m high. Second opening = 1.7m wide X 2.5m high Third opening = 1.5m wide X 2.5m There are two existing sliding doors which I'd like to remove and reuse if possible, their measurements are as follows; 2.4m wide X 2.1m high 1.8m wide X 2.1m high I understand that the final quote will be based on final measurements but I'm seeking an estimate for now. Please quote me and advise with regards to alternative options as I am not fixed with heights. If the 2.1m heights are more feasible, then I'll be happy to install block windows above the doors. The two sides of the patio do not need to be accessible.
The measurements (4 options) I need for the sliding doors are: 3m (L) x 4.5m (w) left and 4.5m (w) 2.8m (L) x 4.5m (w) left x 4.5m (w) right 3m (L) x 4m (w) left x 4m (w) right 2.8m (L) x 4m (w) left x 4m (w)right Please note that the sliding doors will have a pocket in the wall where they stack into when opened. The floor track preferably recessed. The measurements are for doors that meet at a corner 90 degree opening. They can stack separately on either side.
