  Yes. With newer doors and windows you will get better insulation of your house and therefore you won’t need to spend as much to heat/cool your house. Just how much money you will save depends on the state of your doors/windows and and on the doors/windows you will replace them with.

• Which windows are best for hot humid climates?

  The best windows for hot and humid climates are ones that are energy efficient. Models that are improperly sealed can cause heat and humidity to seep in, resulting in a rise in temperature inside your home, which will cause your air conditioner to work twice as hard to keep you cool. It can also create moisture issues that can lead to the growth of dangerous substances, such as mold. When selecting the right windows for hot humid climates, start by looking at the type of frame and glass you will use. Wood frames might cost a little more, but they are also very efficient.

• Which windows are most thermally efficient?

  Window frames have become better insulated and more durable during the last years, air seals are better, and gas-filled cavities between double and even triple panes are the norm. As long as you choose good quality windows, all PVC, aluminium and wood windows are a good option.

• What is the lifespan of aluminium windows?

  Aluminium frames have a very long life span, which can be anywhere between 40-60 years. At the end of their service life, they are completely recyclable.

• How should I clean my aluminium windows?

  We strongly discourage the use of harsh abrasives. There is a coating on your aluminium frames to protect them from adverse weather conditions, the use of harsh abrasives can damage this coating, thus reducing the lifespan of your frames. We suggest you use a bucket of warm water with mild, household, detergent and a soft cloth or sponge to gently work away any dirt.
